Hazlet NJ Medical Device Defect Lawyer

Red Bank, New Jersey Defective Defibrillator Attorneys

Manufacturers of medical devices are legally liable for design flaws and defects that the result in injury or death. Whether or not a medical device manufacturer has recalled a product does not affect their liability in cases where injuries or deaths occur as a result of the defective product. At Drazin & Warshaw, P.C., our attorneys consult design engineers, manufacturing experts, and medical professionals in holding medical device manufacturers accountable for injuries and fatalities their defective products cause. We review test data, test trials, fail-safe design features, manufacturing quality control measures, and other factors in order to identify warning signs or concerns that were ignored.

If a medical device failure or defect has injured you or a family member, contact New Jersey defective medical device attorneys at the law office of Drazin & Warshaw, P.C., today to schedule a free consultation to discuss your case.

Guidant and Medtronic Defibrillators

There are a number of Guidant defibrillators that have an increased risk for short circuiting. The wiring of the Guidant Prizm AVT, Vitality AVT, Prizm 2 DR, Contak Renewal, and Renewal AVT have sometimes short-circuited, resulting in an overload that interferes with the defibrillator's ability to properly regulate the heart's rhythm.

In the case of Medtronic defibrillators, the Sprint Fidelis® lead wire that connects the device to the heart has malfunctioned. Although Medtronic has recalled the Sprint Fidelis® lead wire, they were used in over 260,000 implants.
