Several of our attorneys have been involved in legislative efforts. Attorneys Brian and Dennis Drazin are both involved with the Association of Trial Lawyers of America- N.J. Legal PAC, working to help legislators understand the fundamental unfairness of insurance company efforts to limit compensation for injured people. Brian Drazin is the former president of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America- New Jersey (now known as the New Jersey Association for Consumer Justice), which is at the forefront of the fight for victims' rights.

In addition to bringing change through advocacy efforts, we are also known for our willingness to effect change through groundbreaking and innovative legal theories. For example, attorney Dennis A. Drazin is recognized by legal professionals throughout the state for pioneering New Jersey's Social Host law. This law places liability for serious injuries caused by drunk driving accidents onto the shoulders of individuals who negligently serve too much alcohol to guests. Dennis along with his father, Louis M. Drazin, was an early pioneer in holding auto makers responsible for exploding gas tanks and vehicles that rolled over in accidents. Dennis and his brother, Brian Drazin, along with another member of the firm, Thomas J. Dichiara, were at the forefront merging environmental law and product liability laws into personal injury laws now known as toxic torts. Their efforts led to a landmark decision and new case law upon which claims against polluters and land fills can now effectively be prosecuted.
